Polly's Glass was founded in 2016 when I moved permanently to St Agnes Cornwall and decided that I wanted to share my love of glass with a wider audience. My background is a varied one. I started my working life as a nurse before embarking on an art degree in my mid-forties. I attended The University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, Surrey and graduated with a degree in Three-Dimensional Design specialising in ceramics before deciding that glass was the medium that I really wanted to work in. I have a love of colour and pattern and I take my inspiration from various sources often without necessarily realising that something has registered. I like to work in an intuitive and spontaneous way and will always embrace any happy accidents that may happen. By doing this I feel my work is kept fresh and without repetition.
I enjoy undertaking commissions and am always happy to meet clients to discuss their idea and work with them to create a bespoke piece.
I produce all my work in my garden studio and am happy for visitors to come by and see me working by prior arrangement.
Found something interesting?
I am always working on new pieces, but if you have something particular in mind, please get in touch and I would be happy to make something especially for you.
